Our report indicates a write-off marker when a vehicle has been involved in an accident / damaged.
Write-off details are categorized in following categories -
Cat A - can never be repaired or sold for parts
Cat B - severely damaged that the repairs are impossible.
Cat C/S - You need to remember the cost of repair is more than the value of the vehicle, and you have to re-register with the DVLA before taking it on the road.
Cat D/N - It has sustained non-structural damage that might have compromised its security. You can buy this car if the repairs made are satisfactory.
Note: If you would like to know more about the extent of damage, images etc., or insurance history; please contact the insurance provider referring to the V5C logbook. The insurance companies generally do not share these details with us.
You can buy a write off vehicle based upon the damage occurred and repairs made are satisfactory by thoroughly examining it. First check if a car has been written off.
